Smarter Government not Smaller

Government has become notorious for inefficiency and waste.  We’ve all heard stories about millions of taxpayer dollars being wasted because of inefficiency and ineffective programs.  So the logical conclusion that most people make is to cut programs, public employees, and make government smaller.  Although that is what most Americans would like to do, it is not always the most effective solution.  Michigan Speaker of the House and gubernatorial candidate Andy Dillon pointed this out at a recent “Meet and Greet” in Plymouth, Michigan.

Pragmatism: Why it will dominate in the 21st Century

Across the globe there is a movement towards pragmatism.  While the 20th century was defined by the ideologies of fascism, liberalism, socialism, communism, and conservatism, the 21st century will be defined by pragmatism.  Pragmatism is the anti-philosophy philosophy.  It’s a philosophy that rejects philosophies that are built on unpractical ideas.  The word pragmatism has become synonym nous with practicality and common sense.
